Change Your Mind - Not the Menu

If you want to lose weight, you must do something to change your mind not the menu! The menu doesn’t matter until you change your mind about when to eat, why to eat, how much to eat, and then what to eat! Here is a very specific technique you can use to release unwanted weight. Notice that we said, release unwanted weight, not lose weight? Why? Because if you lose weight you’ll likely find it again! If you release weight you will release it and be done with it.

Release is about letting go of the emotional attachments you have to your current weight. Whether there’s some deep-seated fear about your appearance or some irrational belief you have that keeps you holding onto excess weight, learning how to release the past and enjoy the present is a great way to start optimizing your weight and your life!

One of the most powerful ways to start releasing weight is with affirmations. An affirmation is a statement describing the present state of your life, as you would like it to be. In other words, it describes the achievement of a future goal as if it has already been achieved. All affirmations should be in present tense and at least 50% believable. Affirmations are messages to your mind that things have changed and the rest of your body needs to get in line with this new vitality!

FOR A FIRMER SELF – AFFIRM YOURSELF
Firm up those abs by affirming yourself! Here are some example affirmations you can use right now. Add your own and post these where you’ll see them constantly. Repeat these every day for the next month and you’ll be amazed at what happens!

I love who I am and who I am becoming!
I enjoy sculpting my body, my mind, and my life by the positive choices I make!
I am a masterpiece!
I love eating right and eating light!
I release my judgments of the past and focus on blessings I have now!
I am totally committed to my exercise program.
I am stronger than fear and more powerful than doubt.
I enjoy modeling self-honoring choices!
From this day forward I am totally committed to living my life with VITALITY!
